Throttle Up NASA

During the best record break on june8, 2012 the engineers throttled the J-2X power pack up and down several times to explore numerous operating points that can be required for the fuel and the oxidizer turbo pumps. The best result of this test will be very useful for determining performance and the hardware life for the J-2X engine turbo pumps.

The J-2X engine will be very power the upper stage of the evolved NASA’s Space Launch System an advanced  heavy lift rocket that will provide for human exploration beyond Earth‘s orbit. The NASA was conducted by NASA’s John C. Stennis Space Center in South Mississippi. Pratt and Whiney Rockettdyne are developed by J-2X engine for the Nasa Marshall space Flight center in Huntsville, Ala.
